VIOBA EGM Postponed

We regret to inform that the Victoria Institution Old Boys' Association (VIOBA) EGM slated for the Sunday, 16 May 2010 has been postponed. This is due to the information and feedback received that several members have not received their posted notice.

The present committee has always been committed to the principles of inclusiveness and equal access, and therefore wants to reschedule so that it is appropriate for all members and indeed ex-Victorians who are yet to sign up but want to do so now. In line with the current committee’s overall objective in ensuring the association is managed in a proper and transparent manner, we believe that this decision is in the best interest of all.

The Extraordinary General Meeting had a single agenda, to allow members to appoint new trustees, to facilitate the application process for the renewal of our clubhouse land.

The association will now seek to meet this requirement at the next General Meeting of the association. For any clarification on the matter please contact the Honorary Secretary at info@vioba.com.my.
We would like to apologize to all who have been inconvenienced by this announcement.

VIOBA EGM at the VIOBA Clubhouse

The business to be considered at the meeting is set out below

SPECIAL BUSINESS

1. Resolution No.1 - Appointment of Trustee No.1

To consider and, if in favour, to pass the following resolution as an ordinary resolution

" That, in accordance with Paragraph 26 of Rules of VIOBA, to appoint Amrul Zeflin bin Anim as Trustee of VIOBA in respect of dealings with the immovable property of VIOBA and such appointment shall be in accordance and adherence to the Rules of VIOBA and the Declaration of Trust Deed."

2. Resolution No.2 - Appointment of Trustee No.2

To consider and, if in favour, to pass the following resolution as an ordinary resolution

" That, in accordance with Paragraph 26 of Rules of VIOBA, to appoint Prabakaran Ganesan as Trustee of VIOBA in respect of dealings with the immovable property of VIOBA and such appointment shall be in accordance and adherence to the Rules of VIOBA and the Declaration of Trust Deed."

3. Resolution No.3- Apointment of Trustee No.3

To consider and, if in favour, to pass the following resolution as an ordinary resolution

" That, in accordance with Paragraph 26 of Rules of VIOBA, to appoint Ainol Akbar bin Mohd Yasin as Trustee of VIOBA in respect of dealings with the immovable property of VIOBA and such appointment shall be in accordance and adherence to the Rules of VIOBA and the Declaration of Trust Deed."

4. Resolution No.4-

To consider and, if in favour, to pass the following resolution as an ordinary resolution

" That following the passing of the Resolutions 1-3 above, the current Management Committee of VIOBA is given the mandate to formulate the Declaration of Trust Deed in the best interest of VIOBA and to appoint xxx to execute the same on behalf of VIOBA and the newly appointed Trustee respectively"

5. Resolution No.5-

To consider and, if in favour, to pass the following resolution as an ordinary resolution

" That following the passing of Resolutions 1-3 above, in the event any one the newly appointed Trustee is unable to execute his duty for any reason whatsover within one(1) year from date of this EGM, the Management Committee of VIOBA is hereby given the mandate to appoint, as it deems fit, such new trustee from its current office bearers to give effect of the same."
